Welcome to my new created site! Falling Pixie Creations is run and owned by myself, Christina Eubanks. This is my first sort of blog about my work. Even if I don't get a lot of traffic, I'd like to try and blog when new things happen concerning my artistic life.
This blog will be an explanation on a few of my photo projects.
I do a lot of candid looking shots which are always fun. I'm very good at capturing the moment. It's why my best subjects are people. It's much easier for me to capture moments of life than it is to capture the moments of an object. However creating the moment in itself is exhilarating as well.
I also do quite a lot of artistic style photography. Creating old photographs have got to be my most recent achievement (see below). Another project I did was taking model photographs and manipulating them in Photoshop (see below). It was quite fun to see how creative I could be with the proportions of my girls. The newest project I’m working on is called Identity Fluid (see below) and is a combination of a dramatized character and real life identity. It's still a work in progress but has got to be the most inspirational thing I've done so far in school.
As if you haven't already gotten a good slice of what I do, here are samples of my work!
Emma - The model of my Flapper Day's project, creating 1920's photographs
Elizabeth - The current model I work with who is part of my Identity Fluid project, showing there are multiple contrasting identities within everyone
Lauren - Model for my manipulated body project
Lindsay - A student at MU and a wonderful captured moment
